Diagram
In the diagram, an Exemplar Cause is in the same position as our Desire at Point B because he has already obtained compatibility in his marriage, family, and community relationships or is ahead of us on the journey. He stands as a tangible example of it. It is usually because we have been evaluating an Exemplar Cause that we initially form our Desires.

Because a Cause is an expert in the journey he can stand anywhere between Points A and B as a trainer, evaluator, and provider. He has been where we are now and is able to prepare us for our journey to Point B. He has the ability to teach us the essential skills. He is capable of accurately evaluating us on how we’re progressing along the journey, which gives us crucial feedback that keeps us on track.

Thus the yellow points as well as the yellow line represent all the locations in which a Cause has the capacity to stand.
